Kayla Buske
Paoli, Wisconsin
Marketing Associate
ANIMART Inc.

Please describe your agricultural background.
I have been exposed to the dairy industry for many years through working on my family farm, being employed by other area farms, and through showing cattle at local, state and national shows.

What education are you bringing with you to this position?
I graduated from UW-Madison this summer having studied Life Sciences Communication and Dairy Science.

What previous positions have you held?
I’ve held internships at East Central/Select Sires, the UW-Madison Department of Dairy Science and at Hoard’s Dairyman.

What are your new responsibilities?
I will be working on increasing awareness of ANIMART through creating promotional materials, maintaining ANIMART’s social media, and working with sales and distributor representatives to introduce new products and promotions.

What territory will you cover?
The marketing position covers all states where ANIMART currently has clients but is based in Wisconsin.

What excites you most about working in your new role?
I get to do what I love and work with great people from the agricultural industry.  ANIMART is also a growing company with a growing marketing presence, which is exciting.

How will you be of most help to producers in your region or area of expertise?
I hope to bring a unique combination of marketing and production-agriculture knowledge to ANIMART. Having grown up on a farm and studied dairy science in college, I think these factors will help me relate to farmers and realize from a marketing perspective what they need.

What’s your best story from the first day on the job?
On one of my first days, a fellow marketing associate was printing Employee IDs, which are only printed once in awhile. Since I will be getting married this fall, she decided it was best to put my new last name on the card so she didn’t have to re-print another card down the road.

Why did you choose this company?
ANIMART is a growing company even in the toughest of times.  They meet the needs of today’s farmer while also making sure their employees are well cared for.

What goals would you like to accomplish while in this position?
I hope to increase the presence of ANIMART’s social media so that it can be a tool farmers rely on daily.  PD
