Arguably, the most-discussed proposal at this year’s National Conference on Interstate Milk Shipments (NCIMS) was once again the discussion to lower the somatic cell count (SCC) limit from 750,000 to 400,000. The bi-annual conference took place April 19-24 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Scheduled for May 19-22 in Lexington, Kentucky, this year's Alltech International Symposium will focus on looking to the future to provide for the world's growing demand for food. National Dairy Challenge expands with 223 students at 2013 event PDF Print E-mail

041013_dairychallenge1More students from more collegiate dairy programs participated in the 2013 National Dairy Challenge, expanded by the first-ever Dairy Challenge Academy.

The event was held April 4-6 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and hosted by Purdue University, Michigan State University and The Ohio State University.

In total, the 2013 event attracted 223 college students from 37 dairy programs across the United States and Canada.
